Melburnians will soon be able to skip the long drive & fly direct to Western Australia’s Margaret River region when Jetstar launches commercial flights between the two destinations.
Jetstar will be the first airline to operate passenger services between Melbourne and the relatively new airport at Busselton, when the nw route launches on 25 March 2020.

WHY MARGARET RIVER?
“It’s on the travel wish lists of many travellers.”
Margaret River was selected, according to Jetstar Group Chief Executive Gareth Evans, because of its popularity among Australian holidaymakers.
In return, he also believes the new route will open the possibility of a mini-break on the east coast for West Australians.
“We’re really proud to be the only scheduled airline to fly directly to this region.”

HOW OFTEN WILL THE NEW SERVICE FLY?
When the new route takes off early next year, it will operate three times weekly between the two destinations.

Evans said the direct flight will cut the three-hour drive time from Perth Airport, “putting the destination within easy reach for a short break away”.

Jetstar will utilise its signature A320 aircraft equipped with 180 seats in Economy Class.

To celebrate the launch, Jetstar is offering customers fares from $89 one way in a five-day sale.
The sale started on Friday last week, so technically there’s like two days left to take advantage of the offer.
