Malaysia Airlines followed up on recent digital developments with a new partnership that enables customers to receive their flight booking confirmation and flight status through the popular messaging service.
As the first airline in Malaysia to integrate WhatsApp Business solution, Malaysia Airlines believes the service will “enhance the customer experience” by providing flight notifications directly to their phone.
Similar to an airline app?
Yes, similar to an airline, the service will notify guests of gate changes, check-in details and boarding or schedule notifications.

This new WhatsApp platform is offered in addition to the airline’s traditional methods of communication of email and SMS.
