In an Australian first, Virgin Australia’s Velocity loyalty members can now earn Points on all DiDi rideshares in an exclusive Velocity-DiDi tie-in with an extra 1,000 Velocity Points available for a limited time for members who link their accounts.
New and existing DiDi riders must link their Velocity Frequent Flyer or Virgin Australia Business Flyer account through the DiDi app by 15 May 2024 to earn the bonus of 1,000 Velocity Points.
With 12 million Velocity members and four million DiDi customers, the new partnership will see Virgin Australia passengers boost their Points balance with every ride.
Velocity and Virgin Australia Business Flyer members will earn one (1) Velocity Point per $1 of eligible spend on every DiDi ride within Australia when they link their accounts.
There is also no limit to the amount of Velocity Points that Velocity and Virgin Australia Business Flyer members can earn.
Velocity Frequent Flyer CEO Nick Rohrlach said the Velocity-DiDi partnership adds even more travel convenience for Australians after adding Experience Oz and Luxury Escapes to the program recently.
“We are the only airline loyalty program in Australia giving members the opportunity to earn Points on every rideshare trip they take,” he said.
