Singapore Airlines is no stranger to winning awards (more recently it received the highly coveted title of World’s Best Carrier), but the award that humbles the airline most is the one voted by trade.
In other words, being named ‘Best International Airline//Online’ at the 2018 National Travel Industry Awards (NTIAs) earlier this month.

Philip Goh, Singapore Airlines Regional Vice President, told KARRYON that although the carrier didn’t set out to win the award, it was incredibly grateful and sees it as a validation of ongoing hard work.

We do not set out to win awards such as this, however they are validation for the hard work put in by many, not least our distribution, sales and passenger services teams.
We are certainly very proud and humbled by the travel trade community’s decision to vote us the ‘Best International Airline’ for 2018 at the NTIA Awards and we sincerely thank them for that vote of confidence.
The award is a direct reflection of the strong relationships and partnerships we have built with the travel trade community across Australia over the past 51 years, something we respect and are sincerely thankful for.
What are some changes you may have made over the last year that would have contributed to your success this year?
Over the past 12 months we have continued to engage and work with the travel trade community across Australia to grow our respective businesses together, we have also invested significantly in developing and delivering new cabin products and services that continue to enhance the travel experience for our customers. All of these efforts combined have helped to deliver some excellent results.
