South Korea here we come! Fares for Air New Zealand’s new non-stop service from Auckland to Seoul are now available & they start from $649 one-way.

In case you’re sleeping on travel news, Air New Zealand announced a new service to South Korea’s capital last month where it will cater to the growing Korean diaspora living in New Zealand.

The new flight takes off on 23 November 2019 and will initially operate three times weekly, until it increases to five times weekly during the peak holiday period between late December and mid-February.

Air New Zealand’s Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner will operate on the route, which will take up to 12 hours northbound and just over 11 hours southbound (got to love that return wind).

Despite only being in announcement mode for the past few weeks, the airline’s Chief Revenue Officer Cam Wallace said there’s been a great response to the carrier’s 32nd international destination.

“It’s clear the new route is also going to be an important link for connecting the 40,000 Koreans living in New Zealand with friends and family back home as well as a convenient option for Korean visitors wanting to come and explore New Zealand.”

For now, tickets are available for purchase via Travel Agents and Air New Zealand’s local website.
