Here’s a little good news for those planning a trip to Sri Lanka in the coming year, Qantas has just given your more flight options through an extended arrangement with SriLankan Airlines.
Qantas and SriLankan Airlines announced this week they will codeshare on six new destinations in addition to the five existing destinations, meaning Aussies will be able to travel further on the Flying Kangaroo’s code.
Commencing 18 December 2017, QF will be added to SriLankan Airlines’ triple daily flights between Colombo and Bangkok as well as the carrier’s five flights per week between Colombo and Hong Kong.

At the same time, the UL code will be added to Qantas’ services to and from Melbourne and Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Auckland. This compliments SriLankan Airlines’ recently launched direct services between Colombo and Victoria’s capital.
The codeshare services went on sale on 20 November. Eligible customers of both airlines will have access to each other’s lounges, as well as the oneworld lounges, and priority check-in and boarding in these new codeshare destinations.
