You could say Qantas makes dreams come true on a daily basis by flying people straight to their ideal getaways and then bringing them home to their loved ones.
But the airline took generosity to the next level this month, by giving a baggage handler his dream trip on an A380 aircraft.
Ian Goldswain also known as ‘Ginger’ is part of a UK documentary series called ‘Britain’s Busiest Airport’.
During last week’s episode, he admitted to viewers that it would take a lottery win for him to be able to travel on the jumbo jet.
The statement surprised fans, particularly because his job requires him to load and unload luggage from the Airbus on a daily basis at Heathrow Airport.
“I’ve never seen the inside of the A380.”

“The only way I would is win the lottery, or get a PPI payout I suppose. But one day, you never know.”
Lucky for him, a staff member at Qantas was watching the show and made a very grand and kind gesture.
The airline took Ginger on a tour of one of their A380s.
Seeing First Class he said he’d ‘be well comfortable in there’. He then moved onto the cockpit and took a seat in the captain’s chair.
While seated, Qantas presented him with a return ticket to Dubai, The Daily Mail reported.
That’s when the emotion started to flow, with Ginger saying he’s ‘ecstatic, over the moon’ and ‘lost for words’.
“Thank-you very much everybody, I can’t believe that.”
