Qantas has kicked off a week-long sale, dropping more than one million discounted seats across 60 Australian destinations for 2026 travel. Fares start from $99 one-way and are available until 11.59pm (AEDT) on 13 November 2025, unless sold out sooner.
For the trade, this sale lands as one of Qantas’ biggest domestic pushes in years. It’s a move designed to fill 2026 capacity early and get bookings locked in before peak season.
With over 30 routes under $150 one-way, Qantas is setting a sharp benchmark for value while holding its full-service ground in a price-sensitive market.
Popular routes from $99 one-way
Headline fares include Sydney–Byron Bay from $99, Melbourne–Launceston from $109 and Adelaide–Kangaroo Island from $129. Travellers can also secure Sydney–Melbourne from $139 and Melbourne–Perth from $299.
Travel periods run from 5 January to 17 September 2026, with selected dates and blackout periods applying.
Value fares with full-service inclusions
Each fare includes checked baggage, in-flight food and drinks, and free Wi-Fi on almost 100 domestic jet aircraft. Qantas says the sale is aimed at Australians eager to plan ahead and explore their own backyard.

According to Qantas Domestic CEO Markus Svensson, this sale offers both value and variety, with discounted seats available to some of the country’s most recognisable holiday spots.
“Australians love a great deal and exploring their own backyard, and this sale delivers both, with more than one million seats available to some of the country’s most iconic destinations from tropical Queensland to Tasmania’s wilderness,” he said.
“Whether booking with cash or Qantas Points, these fares make it easier to get a holiday in the calendar and something to look forward to in the new year.”
Booking and distribution details
Agents can book through NDC or GDS, with inclusions consistent across all channels. Group travel remains excluded from extra discounts, but the same sale inventory applies. The approach gives agents room to package inclusive deals without needing to add ancillaries.
The sale spans regional connectors, such as Adelaide–Port Lincoln from $169 and Perth–Geraldton from $199, to major city routes like Brisbane–Melbourne from $169 and Sydney–Alice Springs from $309. Qantas said the breadth of options will help agents link business, leisure and regional demand under one campaign.
Points and tourism push
Customers can also redeem Qantas Points for eligible sale fares, combining points and cash for flexibility. Svensson said this gives frequent flyers more choice when planning trips for next year.
The campaign supports Qantas’ regional tourism partnerships and highlights destinations including Broome, Kangaroo Island and Alice Springs. The carrier expects strong early uptake from families and short-break travellers, particularly over the 2026 summer school holidays.
Booking deadline
The Qantas 2026 Sale runs until 11.59pm AEDT on 13 November 2025, unless seats sell out earlier. Full details, fare conditions and routes are available through trade distribution systems.
KARRYON UNPACKS: Qantas’ million-seat sale isn’t only about low fares; it’s a calculated push to capture early 2026 demand, build trade momentum and reaffirm its value proposition in a crowded domestic market.
