Europe is a clear drawcard here, with economy return fares from Perth to Paris starting at $1,549, timed for peak northern summer travel.

Short-haul deals also feature, with one-way fares from Sydney to Auckland or Wellington from $299.

The airline’s new Gold Coast to Auckland route joins the sale from $309 one way.

Other return fares include Singapore from $769, Los Angeles from $999 and New York from $1,399 on select dates.

The timing aligns with strong outbound demand, with recent Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) data showing 12.5 million overseas trips taken in the year to November 2025.

“Australians continue to show a strong appetite for international travel and with the Australian dollar strengthening and some excellent sale fares across almost our entire international network, it’s a perfect time to be planning an overseas trip,” Qantas International CEO Cam Wallace said.

“Whether customers are looking to holiday in Singapore, Bali and Japan, or looking at some long haul favourites like London, Paris and New York, this sale gives people a fantastic chance to lock in a great deal.”

Chris Heywood, Senior Vice President and Chief Communications Officer for Brand USA, called 2026 “a milestone year” as the country hosts the World Cup, America’s 250th and the Route 66 Centennial.
