Qantas is flying high at the moment after bagging multiple awards at AirlineRatings.com, the leading airline safety and product rating review website, in its annual Airline Excellence Awards.
The Flying Kangaroo won in the Best Catering, Best Lounges, and Best Domestic Economy categories, whilst also moving up two spots in the review website’s annual top ten airline ranking.
It’s now the third year in a row that Qantas has taken out the top spot in the Best Catering category, and deservedly so, as the airline has sustained its commitment to offering only premium dining to its guests, doubling the size of its meals, and giving passengers four main meal options, plus the ability to order online before the flight – sweet!

Qantas was also given the top spot for its world-class airport lounges, which not only provide complimentary food and drinks and robust internet access, but also the option for guests to take a hot shower. Moreover, Qantas received top honours for its domestic class, which is clearly a stand out:

And last but not least, Qantas was ranked number two in the top airlines in 2017, moving up two spots from last year, just behind Air New Zealand. Qantas’ advancement this year reflects the airline’s impressive financial turnaround in 2016, and the fact that it will soon take delivery of its first Boeing 787s in the new year – how exciting! According to AirlineRatings.com, Qantas’ customer approval ratings are also running at an all-time high.
