Who doesn’t love a lounge launch? The latest is the sparkling new Adelaide Qantas Club, which opened today.
Coming just ahead of the busy summer holiday travel period, the new lounge is a modern space that celebrates South Australia’s natural beauty.
The stylish lounge boasts comfy Agostino & Brown furniture, plenty of charging points – 80 per cent of the seats boast USB A and C chargers and there are wireless charging mats built into the coffee tables – and a stunning sandstone bar serving up brews and wines like local icons Coopers and Penfolds.
Of course, there’s also a full buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner featuring seasonal dishes along with barista coffee to pep travellers up for their flights.
The new Qantas Club lounge will soon also welcome additional seating space, while a brand-new business lounge is due to open in mid-2025.
The upgraded facility is part of Qantas’ $100 million global lounge upgrade program.
“Adelaide is a key part of our network and we’re opening the Qantas Club ahead of the busy summer travel period so that our customers can start their holiday with an upgraded travel experience,” Qantas Chief Customer and Digital Officer Catriona Larritt said.
“All of the elements within the space have been carefully designed with what our customers have told us they want most.
“In response we’ve added more charging outlets for business customers and a variety of lounge spaces for leisure travellers to relax ahead of their flight.
“This is all part of our continued investment to improve the customer experience right across our network.”
In September, the flying kangaroo revealed plans for its newest Qantas Regional Lounge in Broome, which is due to open in December 2024.
Last month, Qantas unveiled plans to upgrade 10 Airbus A330 jets, part of a multi-million dollar investment that touches on everything from seating to in-flight connectivity.
Also in October, the carrier announced a raft of changes to its international network across Asia-Pacific and North America, including a new destination, a lot more seats and new aircraft.
