Qantas has added Philippine Airlines to its Frequent Flyer partner network, giving members a new way to use points on flights to Manila, across the Philippines and beyond.
The new partnership gives Qantas Frequent Flyer members access to Classic Reward seats across Philippine Airlines, including 15 island destinations in the Philippines that were previously missing from Qantas’ partner network.
For QFF members, it adds one-stop reward options via Manila to Boracay, Cebu, Palawan and other leisure destinations, along with broader access to North America and the Middle East.
The deal comes as the Philippines gains ground with Australian travellers. New Philippine Department of Tourism data shows Australian visitor arrivals rose 19 per cent in the first quarter of 2026 compared with the same period last year.
Philippine Airlines operates 22 weekly flights between Australia and Manila, including daily Airbus A330 services from Sydney and Airbus A321neoLR services from Brisbane. Qantas Frequent Flyers can now book Classic Reward seats in Business, Premium Economy and Economy across those routes.
What the PAL deal gives QFF members
Qantas Loyalty CEO Andrew Glance said the partnership gives members more reward options beyond major hubs.
“Many of our members want their points to take them further than just the major hubs. Partnering with Philippine Airlines opens up more of Asia and adds 15 destinations previously missing from our partner network,” Glance said.
“From the world-class beaches of Boracay to the limestone lagoons of El Nido, these are destinations that feel like a true reward. Members can now build an entire island-hopping itinerary using points, connecting through Manila to some of the most remote and beautiful spots in Southeast Asia.”
The partnership adds another non-oneworld option to the Qantas Frequent Flyer program, alongside Qantas’ existing mix of alliance and bilateral airline partners.
It also gives members access to reward inventory on an airline with a significant Philippines domestic network, rather than limiting redemptions to major international gateways.

PAL sharpens Australia ties
Philippine Airlines President Richard Nuttall said the partnership strengthens the carrier’s connection with Australia.
“Loyalty partnerships are an important way we extend the reach of Mabuhay Miles and create more value for our members,” Nuttall said.
“Together with Qantas, we are strengthening our links with Australia, making it simpler for Australians to visit the Philippines while enjoying greater choice and flexibility with their miles.”
The new reward seats add to more than 20 million seats available across Qantas, Jetstar and more than 30 partner airlines, including Emirates, American Airlines and Cathay Pacific.
Qantas said Classic Reward seats booked through partner airlines have doubled in the past five years.
Members can search for availability through Qantas’ reward seat search tool, launched in March, which allows Frequent Flyers to browse seats by destination and cabin type across a 12-month booking window.
Philippine Airlines is the Philippines’ flag carrier and only full-service network airline. Founded in 1941, PAL operates nonstop flights from Manila and Cebu to 29 destinations across the Philippines and 40 destinations across Asia, North America, Australia and the Middle East.
