Runway to runway: Qantas & DJs take loyalty relationship to the next level at high-fashion Sydney event

Qantas and David Jones staged an exclusive evening runway event at the airline’s iconic Hangar 96 on 15 October 2025, celebrating the landmark loyalty partnership and bringing together a who’s who of Australian fashion luminaries.

The first-ever Qantas x David Jones runway event showcased the Aussie department store’s Spring-Summer ’25 collection, featuring more than 90 looks from Australian and international designers, including Aje, Anthony Squires, Alémais, Calibre, Camilla & Marc, Chloe, Isabel Marant, Khaite and Victoria Beckham.

For the first time, the runway was live-streamed on the David Jones Instagram account with every look instantly shoppable online. The show also included a special performance by Australian singer-songwriter Kita Alexander.

In a nod to the stylish partnership, Friend of David Jones and Australian model Megan Gale opened the show wearing a look by Rebecca Vallance, who was recently appointed to design the next Qantas uniform.

The Qantas x David Jones partnership launched in September with Qantas Frequent Flyer members already unlocking more than 150 million rewards points through the newly launched David Jones Rewards program.

Aussies can now earn and redeem David Jones Rewards Points or Qantas Points in store and online – more than 5,000 points are earned on fashion, accessories and beauty shopping every minute at David Jones.

Qantas Frequent Flyers earn 1 Qantas Point for every $1 spent at David Jones in store or online, or collect three David Jones Rewards Points for every $1 spent.

Qantas Loyalty CEO Andrew Glance said: “This is the most comprehensive loyalty partnership between a department store and an airline in Australia.”

“We know that one in two Qantas Frequent Flyers shop regularly at David Jones and this partnership will unlock billions of points for our members and give them new ways to be rewarded.”
