Qatar Airways has just given its cabin crew a digital facelift. No, it hasn’t run their profile pics through AI, instead they’ve equipped crew with a tool granting real-time insights into flights and passengers.
In its initial phase, this nifty in-house app lets cabin crew dip into passengers’ profiles to check out their privilege club and oneworld status, as well as all special service requests and preferences.
The app also provides access to up-to-date digital training materials to keep them on their toes.
It’s all about enhancing the experience for both passengers and the crew.
And, in the coming months, cabin crew will even be armed with over 15,000 mobile devices.
The roll-out of the project will continue in multiple stages, extending its scope to Hamad International Airport and overseas airports and lounges. The goal is to integrate passengers’ unique itineraries and requirements across all touch-points.
“We, at Qatar Airways, are incredibly excited to introduce a new phase in the airline’s digital transformation, especially one that will enhance our world-class onboard experience,” Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer, Engr Badr Mohammed Al Meer, said.
“As leaders in industry innovation and digital adoption, Qatar Airways excels in identifying and responding to emerging trends for the comfort and convenience of our passengers and this project is a defining step towards a more connected and insightful interaction between our customers and staff.”
Beyond the enhanced passenger experience, Qatar Airways is championing sustainability by embracing digital solutions. The airline’s commitment extends to reducing paper waste, and aligning with eco-friendly practices. This initiative underscores Qatar Airways’ dedication to responsible and sustainable operations.
