QSUITE DOWN UNDER: Qatar will launch Qsuite on its Canberra route next month

Qatar Airways has just revealed that its luxury Business Class experience, Qsuite (aka the sanctuary in the sky), will be available on its new flights to and from Canberra from the start of next month.

Qatar Airways has just revealed that its luxury Business Class experience, Qsuite (aka the sanctuary in the sky), will be available on its new flights to and from Canberra from the start of next month.

It comes less than six months after the airline launched its Canberra to Doha flight via Sydney.

The route will initially be served by Qsuite up to four times a week, with daily Qsuite service to begin at the start of August.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Akbar Al Baker said since its launch, Qsuite had received “tremendous attention globally”.

“We are delighted to introduce this revolutionary product on our Canberra and Sydney routes. We are certain that the highly-adaptable and personalised product will be a much-welcome addition for Australian travellers.

So what’s all the fuss about Qsuite? Let’s start with the fact that it features the industry’s first-ever double bed in Business Class.

It also has private cabins for up to four people with privacy panels that stow away, allowing passengers in adjoining seats to create their own private room. Nice!

Qsuite is currently available on select Qatar Airways’ Boeing 777-300ER, Airbus A350-900 and A350-1000 aircraft.

The expansion to Canberra follows the introduction of the product to destinations around the globe, including London, Paris, New York, Chicago, Houston and Shanghai.

Akbar Al Baker said was Qatar continues to grow in Australia, he was glad to be contributing to the market by providing greater consumer choice.

Along with the introduction of Qsuite on the Canberra-Sydney route, passengers travelling with Qatar Airways to and from any of its other four Australian gateways can fly on Qatar’s iconic A380s to Melbourne, Sydney, and Perth; while south Australians have the airline’s A350 daily service to Adelaide.
