On Thursday 3 March, Scoot will be resuming its Singapore–Perth flight service, coinciding with the reopening of the West Australian border.

Scoot will fly Singapore – Perth daily on Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) services from Thursday 3 March, signifying the long-awaited lifting of Western Australia’s hard border restrictions, return of travel freedoms, and boost for local tourism.

To celebrate, the airline has release fares starting from $159 AUD as part of an exclusive promotional offer running from 1 – 13 March, for travel by 29 October 2022.

For travellers entering Singapore, Scoot launched Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) services to Singapore from Australia meaning that fully vaccinated travellers may enter Singapore without quarantine if they present negative results from pre-departure and on-arrival COVID-19 tests.

Scoot customers can look forward to new VTL flight routes across five counties and territories, including Athens, Cebu, Hong Kong, Krabi, London (Gatwick) via Bangkok, and Phuket.

“The announcement of the expansion of the VTL scheme is an encouraging step for the travel and aviation industry, allowing us to cater to the pent-up demand for travel over the past two years, be it for work or school, to reconnect with friends and family, or to explore new experiences,” said Scoot Chief Commercial Officer, Calvin Chan.

For entry into Western Australia, interstate and international travellers who are fully vaccinated – including a third dose if eligible – will be able to travel to WA without quarantining.

Travellers who are unvaccinated must spend seven days in hotel quarantine.

The return of Scoot’s flights to Perth come less than three weeks after the Singapore-based airline returned to Gold Coast Airport on Valentine’s Day.

Queensland Airports Limited CEO Chris Mills said it was exciting to finally welcome Scoot and international passengers back.

“Many Australians have a real passion for international travel as well, and this service will deliver easy, affordable access into Singapore and beyond – prompting many people to take another look at their bucket lists and start making overseas travel plans,” he said.
