SIGNATURE EXPERIENCE: Air Canada is raising the bar

Air Canada’s elegant new Business Class offering known as Signature Class debuts on all international flights this week, including the Australia to Vancouver route.

While Signature Class features the same lie-flat suites that International Business Class customers have become accustomed to, the re-branding introduces several new perks.

 

1. New menus

An upgraded meal service is being introduced, designed by award-winning Vancouver chef David Hawksworth. There will also be a dine on demand concept. All will be presented on restaurant-style dishware and glassware.

 

2. More Drinks

Transcontinental travellers will enjoy more wine and spirits offerings and the added option of espresso and cappuccino served with dessert or a new cheese selection. International travellers will be offered Laurent-Perrier champagne on all routes as well as a new Air Canada Signature Cocktail.

 

3. New Amenity Kits

International travellers will be given personal comfort items by Canadian brands, including enhanced amenity kits by Want Les Essentiels, with premium care products by vitruvi.

Signature Class passengers will be given mattress pads for extra comfort.

4. An airport retreat

At Air Canada’s Toronto-Pearson global hub, Air Canada Signature Class customers departing on International flights will have access to the Air Canada Signature Suite. The suite is an exclusive airport retreat, where customers can dine à la carte at a complimentary, full-service restaurant or enjoy, Moet & Chandon champagne, fine wines and premium cocktails.

 

 5.  BMW valet service.

Signature customers can enjoy an Air Canada Valet Service. From later this year onward, a fleet of BMW sedans will whisk travellers between domestic and international flights at Toronto.

 While international Signature Class starts this week, it will debut from June 1 on select flights within North America.

 President of Passenger Airlines, Air Canada Benjamin Smith said Signature Class customers would receive priority service at every stage of the journey, including access to airport concierge services, expedited check-in and security clearance, priority baggage handling and preferential boarding.

“Customers travelling Air Canada Signature Class on international itineraries and, beginning in June, on select transcontinental flights within North America, will receive seamless Air Canada Signature Service. They will enjoy added amenities throughout their journey, from curbside-to-curbside and at all points in between.”
