Singapore Airlines premium flyers, get ready for an enhanced experience at Changi.

Over the next two years, the airline will invest a cool S$45 million (around AU$55 million) to transform its SilverKris and KrisFlyer Gold lounges at its Changi Airport Terminal 2, promising a significantly enhanced experience for premium travellers at its main hub.

With work beginning today (15 April), the renovations will roll out in phases, aiming for completion around mid-2027.

Once complete, the lounges will boast a 50% increase in space and seating, new design features inspired by the carrier’s flagship lounges at Terminal 3, and an elevated food and beverage offering.

The First Class SilverKris Lounge will feature high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a redesigned bar with barista coffee in the morning and curated cocktails in the evening.

Meanwhile, a wider buffet selection and live cooking stations will dish up a variety of Singaporean, Asian and Western cuisines.

The Business Class SilverKris Lounge will grow by 30%, with new spaces including recliner rest areas, a flexible living room zone and productivity pods.

Dining options will expand with an extended buffet and a new full-service bar.

Elsewhere, the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge will double in size and add more lounge seating, workspaces, and in-lounge bathrooms and showers – features currently only found in higher-tier lounges.

To ensure a smooth transition, SIA will renovate one lounge at a time.

The First Class SilverKris Lounge will be completed by Q4 2025, followed by Business Class by late 2026 and KrisFlyer Gold in early 2027.

According to the carrier, the latest investment is all about reaffirming SIA’s commitment to a world-class experience for its valued customers.

“This significant investment underscores Singapore Airlines’ unwavering commitment to elevating the end-to-end travel experience for our customers,” Singapore Airlines Senior Vice President Customer Experience Yeoh Phee Teik said.

SilverKris lounges are primarily for Business and First passengers, while KrisFlyer Gold lounges are for KrisFlyer Elite Gold and Star Alliance Gold members flying Singapore Airlines or Star Alliance flights.
