Travellers flying between Brisbane and Singapore will have a new way to fly, with Singapore Airlines (SIA) introducing premium economy on the route for the first time from 1 November next year.
The upgrade will appear on flights SQ265/266, which will switch from the Airbus A350-900 medium-haul to the A350-900 long-haul aircraft – the same model used on many of SIA’s longer international services.
The new configuration features 42 Business, 24 Premium Economy and 187 Economy Class seats, giving passengers another cabin option and a step-up in comfort on the eight-hour journey.
According to the carrier, the change won’t affect departure or arrival times.

The remaining three daily services between Brisbane and Singapore will continue to operate on the A350-900 medium-haul aircraft, which does not offer premium economy.
This announcement follows SIA’s June 2025 frequency boost, which added three extra flights a week – taking Brisbane to 28 services weekly – after strong demand from Southeast Queensland travellers.
Tickets for the new premium economy service will be released progressively through Singapore Airlines’ usual booking channels.
