Tourism Australia is targeting Indonesian travellers through a new joint marketing campaign with Garuda Indonesia.

Tourism Australia is targeting Indonesian travellers through a new joint marketing campaign with Garuda Indonesia.

 

The television and digital media campaign runs until June 2015 and promotes travel to Australia via Garuda services.

Seven Indonesian travel agencies have also created ‘There’s nothing like Australia’ travel packages for visitors. Packages include experiencing Australian food and wine; it’s produce; romantic destinations; and great outdoors.

Last year, 150,700 Indonesians visited Australia, an increase of 3.5 percent compared to 2012.

During the first six months of 2014, the number of Indonesian visitors grew 9.9 percent year-on-year.

According to Tourism Australia it is one of the fastest-growing tourism markets.

“Tourism is a key industry for both Indonesia and Australia. We are proud that Tourism Australia and Garuda are playing their part to strengthen relationships between the two countries.”
