Vietjet’s profits soar in H125

Vietjet (VJ) has achieved 78 per cent of its full-year profit target as announced in its H125 financial results. It previously reported a 24 per cent year-on-year profit increase in Q1 2025.
In the first half of 2025, VJ, including Vietjet Thailand, transported 17.7 million passengers on 99,202 flights, operating a total of 189 routes.
According to its Q2 2025 results, VJ recorded an aviation revenue of VND17.681 trillion (around AUD$1 billion) and a pre-tax profit of VND775 billion (around AUD$45.6 million), representing a 52.3 per cent year-on-year increase.
Total consolidated revenue reached VND17.885 trillion (around AUD$1.06 billion) with pre-tax profit at VND815 billion (around AUD$48.1 million), up 151.5 per cent YOY.

The ultra-low-cost carrier has also secured major aircraft orders, ordering 20 additional Airbus A330neo aircraft to increase its fleet total to 40 – the largest A330neo globally.
It also won a pivotal development at Vietnam’s new gateway hub, Long Thanh International Airport, located near Ho Chi Minh City, due for completion in late 2026.
VJ has secured approval to build Aircraft Maintenance Facilities No.3 and No.4 at Long Thanh International Airport – key components for the airport’s first phase.
