Virgin Australia Pride Flights take off for the Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras 2025 Parade with a Sky-High Disco from Brisbane and Melbourne on 28 February from $269 one-way. Flyers can also take advantage of sale fares from $49 one-way to other Aussie hotspots until 2 March 2025.
This year’s Virgin Australia Pride Flights will have a sky-high disco theme, starting with departure gate parties in Melbourne and Sydney featuring DJs, drag performances, makeup stations, beverages (including Dolly Parton Wines) and more.
Inflight celebrations continue with one of the world’s first disco events at 38,000 feet with entertainment, NYX Professional Makeup giveaways, disco beats and dancing.

In Sydney, the DiDi Disco Bus will transport VA revellers to the official Pride Flight Landing Party at The Beresford with more fabulous festivities in store followed by an Ovolo x Pride Flight Recovery Brunch at Ovolo Woolloomooloo on 1 March.
Now in its fifth year, Virgin Australia Pride Flight services will sport special numbers to pay tribute to key moments in Australian LGBTQIA+ history.

VA1978 Melbourne–Sydney references Sydney’s first Mardi Gras parade in 1978 and VA2017 Brisbane-Sydney marks the year same-sex marriage was legalised in Australia.
Virgin Australia Executive Lisa Burquest said: “Pride Flight is more than just a flight – it’s a celebration of diversity and inclusion. We’re incredibly proud to bring people together in such a spectacular way and make this a standout event on our annual calendar for our teams and guests.”
VA’s Pride Flights will directly support the Virgin Australia Scholarship as part of its new multi-year gold partnership with The Pinnacle Foundation, Australia’s LGBTQIA+ education charity.
