Travel Agents with Sydney-based clients keen to visit Greater China, and travellers saving for some world-renowned shopping, your ticket to Hong Kong is now on sale through Virgin Australia.
Flights for Virgin Australia’s first Sydney-Hong Kong service went on sale this week, officially making it the airline’s second direct service to the Asian city following the launch of last year’s direct Melbourne-Hong Kong flights.
Taking off on 2 July 2018 at 10.00am as VA83, the service will be operated by the carrier’s A330-200 featuring lie-flat beds with direct aisle access and triple-lay seat cushions in the award-winning Business Class product, ‘The Business‘.
Virgin Australia Airlines Group Executive, Rob Sharp, described Hong Kong as a “vibrant and exciting destination” that is a key pillar in the airline’s strategy.
He continued, saying that since commencing flights to the Pearl of the Orient, flights from Australia have dropped by up to 40 percent “signalling the strong competition we have brought to this route”.
“We are thrilled our daily Sydney-Hong Kong flights are now on sale, offering a competitive price and our award-winning Business Class and cabin crew.”

Speaking of price, Virgin Australia is celebrating the sale of fares with return flights from Sydney to Hong Kong from $549 in Economy and $2,679 in Business Class.
