Dubai’s national carrier Emirates has officially launched A380 services to Western Australia, making Perth the fourth city to welcome the airline’s jumbo aircraft.
The plane touched down at Perth Airport on Friday, after 10 hours of flying from Dubai.
Emirates revealed Perth would be the fourth Australian city to welcome regular A380 services in January this year, joining Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.
Replacing the Boeing 777-300ER, the plane adds an additional 131 seas pet flight on the Perth to Dubai route.
The aircraft currently flies on the morning flight and from July this year, will be used on evening departures.

It will transport up to 982 passengers in-bound and outbound every day between the two destinations.
Onboard the aircraft features 14 First Class, 76 Business and 400 Economy class seats as well as Wi-Fi throughout, 2,000 channels of ice in-flight entertainment.
It also has the world’s only on-board Shower Spas for First Class passengers and the On-Board Lounge where First Class and Business Class passengers can socialise at 40,000 feet.
