Qatar Airways may have lost the ‘World’s Best Airline’ crown to Singapore Airlines but it’s still the ‘Best Airline in the Middle East’ with the ‘Best First Class Airline Lounge’ and the ‘World’s Best Business Class’.
The carrier celebrated four major wins this week at the 2018 Skytrax Awards including the highly coveted award for ‘World’s Best Business Class’ – the revolutionary Qsuite featuring private seats that come together to form double beds and four-way meeting tables.
It’s the sixth year in total the airline has won the award including the last three consecutive years.
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, Akbar Al Baker, welcomed the four wins, saying they demonstrate how far the airline has come in 20 years, despite barriers such as the ongoing blockade enforced by surrounding Middle Eastern cities and countries.

Just behind Qatar Airways with the ‘World’s Second Best Business Class’ was Singapore Airlines followed by All Nippon Airways, Emirates, Etihad Airways and Qantas.
