Air New Zealand doesn’t dread the winter like some of us do here in Australia. Instead, they celebrate its arrival, as winter is when NZ proudly beats its chest as the king of winter wonderland destinations!

To celebrate the official start of the 2016 New Zealand ski season, last week Air New Zealand celebrated in style with a Winter Magic themed event, treating guests to winter-inspired cocktails, canapes, mulled wine and traditional kiwi beef pies.

The special Winter Magic themed celebrations were also a time for Air New Zealand to remind the industry of its strategic partnership with Virgin Australia, who together will operate over 120,000 seats between Australia and Queenstown over the July to September winter period – giving Australians even more reasons to visit the New Zealand slopes this year.

In addition to these regular services, Air New Zealand is also very proud to now be operating night flights into Queenstown.

Speaking back in January this year, Air New Zealand Chief Sales and Commercial Officer, Cam Wallace, said the airline’s night schedule will provide greater choice and flexibility for travellers with improved connectivity through the airline’s Auckland international hub.

“We believe our proposed Queenstown schedule will be a game-changer for international travellers in particular with same day connections as well as reduced connection times both to and from a range of destinations across Australia, Asia and North America.”

Air New Zealand’s new daily Queenstown schedule from 1 July 2016 is as follows:
