Earning Qantas points is so easy that Frequent Flyers can do it with their eyes closed while dreaming of their next holiday. It’s all part of encouraging healthy sleep habits via Qantas’ Wellbeing app.
The app, developed by Qantas Health Insurance, is offering Qantas Points to those who limit their screen time before bed and develop regular sleep patterns.
The sleep health challenge is the latest feature on the app which already rewards members for keeping active by walking, cycling or swimming.
To earn points for getting shut-eye, all Frequent Flyers need to do is download the free Qantas Wellbeing app, set their bedtime routine and place their phone down at least 30 minutes before bedtime.
Earning your points is as easy (or hard) as making sure phone isn’t touched until you wake up the next morning.
Users can also earn an extra 20 Qantas Points for taking part in the Qantas Sleep Quiz.
Qantas Loyalty CEO Olivia Wirth said Qantas Frequent Flyer was the first airline loyalty program to offer points for something as simple as sleep.
Qantas Frequent Flyers taking part in the Sleep Health Challenge will earn up to five points per night in the first month.
After the first month, the earn rate reduces to 0.5 points per night for members who are not Qantas Insurance policy holders.
Qantas Frequent Flyers taking advantage of all the Qantas Wellbeing app features have the ability to earn up to 3,406 points per year, with Qantas Insurance policyholders earning up to 20,000 points per year through the app.
