Are you feeling a little restless in your job? Think it might be more fun to work with say…Santa in Lapland? Stop dreaming because vacancies are open for jobs fitting that very description.

The Finnish winter (and of course Christmas) season is approaching and with that comes literally hundreds of whimsical job vacancies as tourism booms.

Tens of companies are hiring people for super cool travel industry jobs from wilderness guides and being on Aurora Borealis watch to being Santa’s Elf.

Workmates for Santa are needed just outside of Rovaniemi in Santa Claus’ Secret Forest (yes this is a real place).

Bonus points if you can sing, play an instrument, dance or have experience in acting (there will be a chance to learn ahead of the season with a professional actor as well).

If getting decked out in elf gear isn’t for you… you may want to use your industry experience to guide tourists on ice-fishing trips or riding a reindeer sledge close to the Russian border in the northern parts of Lapland.

These are truly some of the world’s coolest jobs!

If you’re seriously interested in applying, European Job Mobility Portal EURES has set up a digital platform where you can browse through these interesting job opportunities.

An online employment event “Work in Lapland” will also take place on September the 3rd. Good luck!
