Melbourne’s accommodation scene has never been so vibrant with a new luxury hotel opening last month, an avant-garde property launching the month before, & an eco-conscious stay opening its doors today.

Element by Westin, a Marriott International brand, made its debut in Australia this week, with the opening of the eco-friendly Element Melbourne Richmond where all pets are welcome.

Yes, it’s both eco-conscious AND pet-friendly – that’s every modern day traveller’s dream.

Inside the first-of-its-kind hotel for Australia, responsible holidaymakers will be pleased to find oversized windows that provide an abundance of natural light, energy-saving LED lighting, CO2 sensors monitoring air quality as well as water-saving taps and fixtures. A select number of rooms also come with energy-efficient kitchenettes.

Guests with paws will enjoy the property’s pet-friendly approaching, which provides furry friends with their own beds (available at request), toys and there’s even a dog-friendly mini bar.

Other highlights of the Element Melbourne Richmond are the yoga classes available inside the 24/7 Motion Fitness Centre, Bikes-to-Borrow program that allows guests to workout outdoors and the multi-functional dining space that starts off as a complimentary Rise breakfast, turned into the Mint Lane Restaurant & Bar at lunch, and closes as a modern Australian restaurant at night.

The new hotel is located in the new Botanicca Corporate Park on the banks of the Yarra River and is six kilometres from Melbourne’s city centre where guests can enjoy a buzzing dining scene, world-class shopping experience and more.
