Overlanding specialists, Dragoman, are returning to Pakistan in June 2020 and have just released details of their new 15-day Pakistan Discovery adventure.

Overlanding in Pakistan was particularly popular during the 50s, 60s and 70s, when thousands of travellers followed the “Hippie Trail” between Istanbul and New Delhi but in more recent decades, tourism to the area has taken a hit.

Dragoman sees this as a shame, noting that Pakistan is “one of Asia’s most intriguing destinations, a land teeming with diverse wildlife, deep culinary traditions, and landscapes equal parts serene and dramatic”.

“Decades of negative news coverage have left Pakistan with a bad reputation in most travellers’ minds, but those who do visit will be rewarded with a land of diverse natural and historical riches, a remarkably welcoming and hospitable people, and a truly unique and enchanting adventure”.
