The annual World Airport Awards have been held in Madrid on the back of the largest global airport customer satisfaction survey, revealing Singapore Changi as the World’s Best Airport for 2025.
Scoring the award for a record 13th time, Singapore Changi edged last year’s winner Hamad International Airport (Doha) to the prize.
Following the top two are Tokyo International Airport (Haneda), Incheon International Airport (Seoul) and Narita International Airport (Tokyo).
Hong Kong, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Rome Fiumicino, Munich Airport and Zurich Airport rounded out the top 10 in the best airport category.

“It is indeed gratifying to receive this recognition, and this certainly encourages us to continue to strive to provide the best travel experience,” Changi Airport Group CEO Yam Kum Weng said after SIN claimed the prize.
“We thank all our passengers for their vote of confidence. And we’re especially grateful to the Changi Airport community, whose unwavering commitment to service excellence has made this award possible.
“As air travel continues to grow, we look forward to welcoming passengers to experience the magic at Changi Airport.”
Meanwhile, Melbourne Airport placed highest among Australia/Pacific hubs, finishing 16th in the World’s Best Airport category. Clearly, Tullamarine must be doing something right after picking up the Best Airports in Australia/Pacific award for the fifth time in six years.
“We’re humbled that travellers have again voted us the best airport in our region, particularly at a time when we’re undertaking so much construction,” Melbourne Airport CEO Lorie Argus said, flagging “major upgrades, including new retail, food and beverage outlets; security screening refurbishments and upgrading baggage systems and airfield infrastructure”.

“The needs of travellers are always front of mind and our ‘Stepping Forward’ program empowers and encourages our staff to offer genuine assistance to passengers wherever they need it.
“Every journey starts or ends with our people and from our customer-facing staff who embody Melbourne’s renowned friendliness, to those who work behind the scenes to ensure the seamless operation of Australia’s busiest 24/7 airport, this award celebrates the efforts of the 18,000 people employed at Melbourne Airport.”
Elsewhere, Brisbane Airport picked up the gong for Best Airport Staff in Australia & Pacific, while the Pullman Brisbane Airport won the Best Airport Hotel in Australia & Pacific award.
Adelaide Airport also picked up two honours for The Cleanest Airport in Australia & Pacific and the Best Regional Airport in Australia & Pacific.
