LATAM Airlines has announced the launch of its ‘Big Deal’ sale, giving Aussies the chance to explore South America for less with direct flights from Sydney and Melbourne to Santiago, with onward connections.
The sale includes onward connections to Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Uruguay, and Colombia, with the same lead-in fares in each country – regardless of the destination airport.
For example, LATAM is offering the same lead-in fares to Lima and Cusco in Peru.

To take advantage of LATAM’s ‘Big Deal’ Sale, flights must be booked before 28 February 2020 for travel between 1 May – 31 August 2020.

- Melbourne to Brasilia from $1,149 return in Economy Class, a discount of up to 46%
- Melbourne to Cusco from $1,149 return in Economy Class, a discount of up to 44%
- Sydney to Rio de Janeiro from $1,209 return in Economy Class, a discount of up to 39%
There are other savings to be made though. Flights from Melbourne to:
- Chile, Argentina, Brazil and Peru are priced from $1,149 return in Economy Class, a discount of 26% and $3,949 in Business Class, a discount of up to 20%
- Uruguay are priced from $1,319 return in Economy Class, a discount of up to 29% and $3,949 in Business Class, a discount of up to 26%
- Colombia are priced from $1,549 return in Economy Class, a discount of up to 24% and $3,949 in Business Class, a discount of up to 27%
And flights from Sydney to:
- Chile and Argentina are priced from $1,149 return in Economy Class, a discount of 26% and $3,949 in Business Class, a discount of up to 20%
- Peru is priced from $1,199 return in Economy Class, a discount of up to 33% and $3,949 in Business Class, a discount of up to 27%
- Brazil are priced from $1,209 return in Economy Class, a discount of up to 28% and $3,949 in Business Class, a discount of up to 26%
