If you left your heart in the 90s, a nostalgic sleepover at the world’s last Blockbuster store might be your idea of the best night out (or in) ever.
Dust off those membership cards for a sleepover inside the world’s last *sob* Blockbuster store.
For three nights only, the lucky movie buffs of Oregon, USA, will get to book in for a timeless night of on-screen magic, when the last Blockbuster in the world opens as an Airbnb.
It sounds like a double denim, boombox, VHS, tamagotchi kinda good time.
A night in the 90s
Located in Bend, Oregon, the last functioning Blockbuster on earth is usually a tourist attraction, however, due to COVID-19 and lockdowns, the business has been struggling.
The owners thought it would be a good idea to say thank you to the local community, who adore the attraction, by putting on a slumber party – socially distanced, of course.

When you call dibs on this stay, you’ll get the keys to the entire store, meaning no begging Mum to rent out Arachnophobia, or fighting with your little brother over sweet or salted microwave popcorn.
There’s no ‘proper’ bed in the store, but there is a hella comfy couch with pull out bed, beanbags, and pillows to snuggle up with and catch up with those “new releases” – from three decades ago.
Lucky guests will be able to crack open a large Pepsi, get a little too over-competitive while playing Sonic the Hedgehog, watch their favourite classics on video and tuck into a few slices of Pizza, with NERDS on the menu for dessert.
