Exclusivity is out as lounges take a more welcoming approach. Like, for example Brisbane Airport’s new lounge where any traveller can enter, shower, eat & relax for a small fee, of course.
No1Lounges opened a My Lounge at Brisbane Airport’s International Terminal this week, making it the second unique pre-flight experience in Australia.
Available for any checked-in passenger, the lounge “redefines convenience”, said No1Lounges Chief Executive, because it strips away ‘class’ and more.
Read on for info on how My Lounge sets itself apart:
WHAT MAKES MY LOUNGE SO SPECIAL?
It’s more than a lounge, it’s 332-square-metres of ‘unique social lounging experience’.
A highlight of the pre-flight space is its shower facilities, which will come as a welcome relief to those wanting to freshen up before a long-haul service.
Showers come with luxe toiletries, a fluffy towel and hair dryers (winning!).
There’s a hot and cold grazing menu featuring local produce as well as cuisines from around the world, and a curated wine list.
A Barista will be on-hand to make fresh coffee, or guests can enjoy tea and a selection of soft drinks.
Other features include a stylish island bar and a lounge area (seating 108 people).
There’s unlimited wi-fi and runway views.
Plus, the kids will love the TV and games room, while adults may enjoy some downtime with glossy magazins and newspapers.
WHERE IS IT LOCATED INSIDE BRISBANE INTERNATIONAL?
It’s the closest lounge by the departure gates.
Specifically, My Lounge sits airside near Gate 77.
Also, just FYI, it’s open from 5.00am to 10.00pm.
HOW MUCH WILL IT COST ME TO ENTER?
My Lounge is accessible on a ‘pay-per-use’ basis.
Entry starts from $60 for adults and $30 for children (aged 2-11). Infants are free.
Travellers can be pre-booked online or in-person on the day of travel.
