A pool and pirate party, adventures a plenty and even some speed dating - all ingredients served up to Infinity Holidays' top sellers this month.

A pool and pirate party, adventures a plenty and even some speed dating – all ingredients served up to Infinity Holidays’ top sellers this month.

A group of 60 travel agents were whisked off to Tropical North Queensland as part of the annual Aussie Gold Mega incentive.

Running for three days, the group were treated to a whole lot of partying and some incredible experiences in the northern part of Australia.

Originally scheduled for March, the incentive trip was postponed to mid-April to avoid Cyclone Nathan as he passed parts of Queensland.

Participants were flown from all over the country into Cairns and transferred to Tjupukai Aboriginal Cultural Park.

There they learned how to throw a spear and boomerang (needles to say it was a hit).

The chic and luxurious QT Port Douglas was the base for the next two nights and the sambucca shots at the QT bar were to engender a love/hate relationship among a number of participants.

There’s no rest for the wicked and it was straight to a pool party at QT where ‘Swan Races’ were conducted.

The pool party was then followed by pre-dinner drinks at Estilo Deck and then dinner at Bazaar Restaurant.

Day two started with suppliers giving an update on their various products through a speed dating style session.

Participants were then treated to a Quicksilver tour during which they could go diving or take a helicopter ride over the Reef.

This was followed by a ‘Party on a Pontoon’!

It was the first party of its kind for Infinity in nearly nine years.

Upon boarding, the pontoon was immediately commandeered by Infinity pirates, which was the theme for the night.

The final day was spent on various exciting adventures including white water rafting, ATV riding, horse riding, bungy jumping, Kuranda tour and more.

The last night for participants was spent at the five-star Pullman Cairns, with its breathtaking vistas of the harbour and mountains.

Dinner was at the Ochre restaurant in Cairns and the final party at The Woolshed where any remaining high spirits were surely finally exhausted.
