Long-time Aussie favourite and icon Rocky Mountaineer is gearing up to launch its 2022 season across all four of its luxury train journeys in the US and Canada.

If you have clients that love scenic rail travel, be sure to tell them about Rocky Mountaineer’s fully operational season launch this month and next.

Rocky Mountaineer says is thrilled to kick off the 2022 season with its luxury train journeys in Western Canada and the Southwest US.

This season also marks the first full operational season for Rocky Mountaineer’s newest route, the Rockies to the Red Rocks between Denver, Colorado and Moab, Utah.

So when’s the launch?

Each of the four routes has a different launch date, meaning four different celebrations!

The newest route, Rockies to the Red Rocks (Denver-Glenwood Springs – Moab) is actually back on track already, with the launch officially kicking off on Sunday 17 April in Denver, Colorado.

Rockies to the Red Rocks is a two-day rail journey boasting all of the premium elements that make up the unparalleled Rocky Mountaineer experience.

Guests can expect spacious glass-domed train coaches, incredible scenery, onboard storytelling, delicious cuisine, friendly service, and a social atmosphere.

The route also features stunning landscapes – between Denver and Glenwood Springs, guests will journey alongside the Colorado River and through a series of canyons with steep rugged rock walls, while the route between Glenwood Springs and Moab highlights mountain vistas, desert cliffs and rock formations.

Next to launch is First Passage to the West (Vancouver-Kamloops-Banff) on 25 April, followed by Journey Through the Clouds(Vancouver-Kamloops-Jasper) on 26 April and Rainforest to Gold Rush(Vancouver-Whistler-Quesnel-Jasper) on 7 May.

All of these routes restart from Vancouver.

Earlier this month, Canada took the next big step in its #ArrivalRevival; dropping its pre-departure testing requirement.

This means fully vaccinated travellers arriving in Canada can now travel freely, without the need to submit proof of a negative COVID-19 test.

All visitors to Canada must still enter their information into the ArriveCAN app, which is the Canadian government’s visitor information portal.

These details, which must be submitted within 72 hours of arrival, include:

  • contact information
  • travel details
  • vaccination information, including which vaccine(s) received, including manufacturer, country received, date received, and upload proof of vaccination.
