If there’s one travel company that well and truly knows the secret to success, it’s Hertz, which was named ‘Best Car/Campervan Rental Operator’ for the 10th time in 11 years.

The brand received the title, again, at the NTIA Awards last month.

Hertz Asia Pacific’s Vice President, Eoin Macneill believes the company’s success comes from a combination “hard work and dedication” from everyone in the team.

It is a great feeling to win this category for the 10th time in 11 years. We’re extremely proud of this achievement and it’s a testament to our team’s hard work, dedication and the support of the travel industry, which sees us recognised as the Best Car/Campervan Rental Operator at the 2017 National Travel Industry Awards (NTIA).

Receiving this award validates our commitment to delivering great customer experiences, whilst we continue to look at ways to enhance our product offering to remain a leader in the car rental field.

What was it do you think that helped you win this year?

Hertz is an experienced service provider – not simply a point A to point B service. It’s the service we provide that helps us stand out from our competitors. We continuously look at ways to evolve our product and service offering, in order to remain a leader in the car rental field and ensure our relevance.

Investing in understanding our customers’ needs to deliver a great Hertz experience is a key priority for us, and winning at the NTIAs reaffirms our commitment to this.

How do you think the year ahead is looking so far?

With growth predicted in the self-drive market and that more and more travellers look to travel and explore independently, the remainder of the year looks exciting! We’re looking forward to building on this year’s success and plan to announce a number of exciting product and service initiatives.

Do you have any award winning tips you’d like to share to inspire other businesses to greatness?

Understand who your customers are, from trade to all types of consumers, and identify what they need from you to have a positive experience. At Hertz we’re always looking at ways to improve our services and meet customers’ needs, which can be through expanding our product offering, adding new vehicles to our fleet or exploring new partnership opportunities. Partnerships with other businesses, who have shared goals and audiences, are particularly powerful, because it allows all involved to offer more value and convenience to customers.
