Back-Roads Touring has announced unprecedented growth in 2014 following a strong year and increasing popularity for small group travel.
Brand Manager Hugh Houston says the growth comes off the back of incredible reception to new tours and destinations launched earlier this year.
“This has been an exceptionally busy year for Back-Roads Touring, with the launch of nine new tours and additions to bespoke itineraries which has seen the popularity of our tours continue to increase.”

Our front-running tours were Corners of Cornwall, Italian Indulgence and La Belle France which have all performed exceptionally well.
Mr Houston said it is a once-in-a-lifetime tour with Former Royal Chef Carolyn Robb has also been incredibly well received, with a great amount of interest in one of our latest additions.
He added that small group touring offers the luxury of a relaxed itinerary and ability to visit ‘hard to reach places’, making them an increasingly popular choice.
“Travellers are becoming increasingly savvy and moving further away from mass consumer products, instead desiring those authentic local experiences, bespoke culinary encounters and charming accommodation all in a leisurely paced package.”
The small group travel experts will celebrate 29 years in business next year, and are investigating fresh destinations and experiences to further the momentum of 2014’s huge success.
Looking ahead. Mr Houston expects 2015 to be another exciting year for the brand, with travellers booking lesser-known destinations.
