SO EXCITING: Contiki to enter Africa's wild East and South for the first time

The call of Africa has been strong for millennial travellers, and Contiki has answered it by entering South Africa, Tanzania, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Kenya for the first time.

The call of Africa has been strong for millennial travellers, and Contiki has answered it by entering South Africa, Tanzania, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Kenya for the first time.

It’s not their first foray into the continent, with tours already operating to Morocco and Egypt, but it will be their first step into Africa’s East and South.

Contiki said they made the decision after realising that these were the top regions missing from their product offering, as identified through passenger surveys, social media and third party research.

The big news marks the first new region since launching Latin America in 2010 and represents the growing footprint of the millennial traveller seeking unfiltered adventure.

Here is what is now on offer with Contiki in South and East Africa for 2019

Groups will be small with around 20 passengers per trip. This means Contiki will swap large coach travel for seven seater pop-top safari vehicles across Eastern Africa and luxury mini buses in Southern Africa.

Flights are included from Capetown to Johannesburg and Johannesburg to Victoria Falls allowing travellers to spend more time on the ground making the most of what the destination has to offer.
