Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) has today opened nominations for its 21st Cruise Industry Awards. Taking place at Sydney’s Star Event Centre in Pyrmont, the “CLIAs” winners will be unveiled at a gala event on 9 March 2024.
The CLIA Awards recognise the Australasian cruise community’s “best and brightest stars” as the cruise sector goes from strength to strength, both locally and globally.
Joel Katz, Managing Director of CLIA in Australasia, said the awards acknowledge the pivotal contribution of Australian and New Zealand travel agents in the global surge of cruise travel.
“Cruising has made a spectacular comeback in Australasia, and our travel agent community has been integral to that success,” Katz remarked.

“Our 21st Awards will honour those who have made an extraordinary contribution to cruising’s revival and who have helped make Australia and New Zealand one of the world’s most prosperous cruise regions.”
With 11 awards open to self-nomination or peer-nomination, a total of 18 award categories will be judged at the next CLIA Awards.
The awards are open to all existing CLIA members in Australia and New Zealand, with nominations to close on 30 November.
