The Colorado Tourism Office has wrapped a 12-day mission across four Australian cities, reaffirming its commitment to the local market with a series of events, training sessions, and Snow Expo activations.
Deputy Director of International Tourism Andrea Blankenship said the visit reflected Colorado’s long-term interest in Australian travellers.
“Australia continues to be a focus for our international tourism drive,” she said. “Since we began marketing to Australia in 2018, we’ve risen from the 17th to the 12th most visited US state by Australians.”

The Colorado Tourism road trip included stops in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Melbourne, and Sydney. Representatives from Aspen Snowmass, Visit Telluride, IKON Pass, and Vail Resorts engaged agents, trade partners, and ski enthusiasts, sharing the destination’s 30+ ski areas and wide-ranging tourism attractions.
The Colorado stand at the Melbourne and Sydney Snow Expos offered a taste of the Centennial State, with a Coors bar, a Visit Denver-sponsored colouring zone, and a chairlift photo op. The Sunrise Weekend team broadcasted live weather crosses from the Sydney stand.

Blankenship highlighted Colorado’s value and variety as key drawcards for Australian visitors. “With consistent great quality powder and no two resorts the same, plus the value-driven Epic and IKON passes, visitors can easily take in multiple resorts in one trip.”
Other updates during the visit included the upcoming Sundance Film Festival move to Boulder in 2027, new MICHELIN Star listings in Denver, lift upgrades at Snowmass, and extended Rocky Mountaineer train routes departing from Denver in 2026.
