Welcome to the inaugural Plan A Cruise Month, where your clients will have around 30 days (or until packages are sold out) to secure an incredibly generous deals.
Reflecting on the ever-growing industry in Australia, Plan a Cruise Month is an extension to last year’s Cruise Week and kicked off over the weekend.
Dozens of CLIA Australasia members are taking part in the promotion, with deals that will only be on offer during the month.
In addition to enticing your clients with offers (such as ‘second passenger sails for $1’ with MSC or ‘$100 onboard credit plus 30 percent off on 2017 cruises of five nights or longer’ with Royal Caribbean), lines are enticing Agents to sell by giving them the chance to WIN.
Here are nine reasons Agents will want to book their clients on a cruise this Plan A Cruise Month:
1. Attend a ship christening in Miami
One lucky Travel Agent will have the chance to attend the christening of the MSC Seaside in Miami 2017.
The deal doesn’t include flights, but how often do you get an invite to a ship christening?
2. Sail in balcony on a Queen

Cunard is offering Agents the chance to win a two-night sailing in a balcony cabin on Queen Mary 2 from Sydney to Brisbane.
The cruise will depart on 2 March 2017, so keep it free.
3. Five nights on a Jewel
One lucky Travel Agent will be among the first to experience Norwegian’s Norwegian Jewel when she arrives in Australia for her inaugural visit next year.
The line is offering five nights on the ship departing 12 November 2017.
4. Or four nights on another kind of Jewel
P&O is also offering a few free nights, but on its Pacific Jewel.
Agents can win a four night trip to Moreton Island departing 4 May 2017 in a twin-share oceanview cabin.
5. Champagne, champagne, champagne & champagne
Ponant may not be offering a free trip, but it is giving away one bottle of champagne every week during October.
6. Or more champagne
CroisiEurope is also treating Agents to a little bubbly by giving away four bottles of Moet (one each week).
Catch is, this one is only for New Zealand Agents (sorry Aussies).
7. 7-14 nights on a Royal
Hop on a Royal Caribbean ship, just not Ovation of the Seas.
The line is giving Agents the chance to win one free cruise between seven to 14 nights. The winning Agent can choose to travel around Australia, to New Zealand, the South Pacific or an Asia Repositioning cruise departing Australian between 1 January 2017 and 22 April 2018.
As mentioned, the offer excludes Ovation of the Seas.
8. Go all out on a luxury river cruise
It’s five-star luxury all the way for one lucky Agents who wins a twin-share cabin on a seven-night Uniworld sailing.
The offer is available on the line’s European itineraries for travel in 2017.
9. And finally, win a Sony Action Cam
Avalon Waterways is doing things a little differently, and giving the Agent with the most 2017 Avalon bookings (across all of the line’s itineraries) at the end of October, a Sony Action Cam.
To be in the running for all of these prizes (exclusive the Avalon Waterways prize), CLIA Agent members simply need to deposit a cruise booking during October.
Prizes will be given out weekly. The association is also giving away four double passes to the 2017 CLIA Cruise Industry Awards.
