As reported, APT will add two new luxury river vessels – APT Solara and APT Ostara – to its Rhine, Main and Danube itineraries in 2025. The Europe Pre-Release collection is now available for booking along with earlybird flight offers and discounts of up to $1,000 per couple until 30 April 2024.

The sleek new fleet knows its audience with Melbourne-based Hecker Guthrie’s design inspired by European waterways and underpinned by unpretentious Australian style.

One of the standout design features of the new ships includes multiple spaces of different sizes for passengers to enjoy.

Hecker Guthrie’s Paul Hecker said: “Guests don’t just have to head to the ‘main lounge’. We are creating many opportunities for guests to find their space, be it reading nooks or spaces where you can observe the action and engage as and when you choose. We want guests to have as many options as possible.”

There are three cabin options on board – Twin Window Suites, Balcony Suites and the Owner’s Suites – all with river views.

APT Travel Group CEO David Cox said: “APT Solara and APT Ostara will redefine luxury river cruising, thoughtfully designed with the Australian guest in mind.”

The new ships will also set a new standard in sustainability with greater emphasis on saving fuel, energy optimisation and waste reduction, along with 50 crew on board to service 154 passengers.

Each ship will feature six all-inclusive dining options, including the main restaurant, an intimate wine cellar, a relaxing conservatory, a casual dining option, an exclusive aft restaurant and in-suite dining.

The sun deck will also offer alfresco dining along with a heated pool and a lounge area.
