APT to combine coach touring with cruise touring in NZ

APT – the luxury travel operator – have revealed a new 24-day itinerary that will take guests on an exciting journey through New Zealand's North and South Islands, combing both coach and cruise touring.

APT – the luxury travel operator – have revealed a new 24-day itinerary that will take guests on an exciting journey through New Zealand’s North and South Islands, combing both coach and cruise touring.

The new 24-day New Zealand Voyager itinerary features in APT’s latest New Zealand 2016/17 brochure which became available today for agents across the country.

The coach/cruising itinerary is priced from $8,995 per person, twin share, and departs from Christchurch to Arthur’s Pass in the South Island aboard the TranzAlpine train before visiting the magnificent Franz Josef Glacier and Queenstown.

After taking in Lake Tekapo guests will then fly to Auckland in the North Island and stay in the Bay of Islands for two nights before heading back to the capital to transfer to the 14 night cruise.

Sailing aboard Holland America Line’s ms Noordam, and staying in an elegantly appointed Verandah Stateroom, guests explore New Zealand from the coastline. Following the Islands clockwise from Auckland, stops include Rotorua, Napier, Wellington, Picton, Dunedin and the Milford Sound before heading to Tasmania and then Melbourne and Sydney.

APT offer an all-inclusive experience which includes staying in leading hotels such as Te Waonui Forest Retreat at Franz Josef and The Hermitage Hotel at Mount Cook, guests also enjoy the chance to visit the Waitangi Treaty Grounds, take a dolphin-watching cruise through the Bay of Islands and also sample some of New Zealand’s famous wines.

The most popular tour is the 18-day Royal Tourer New Zealand which is priced from $6,895 per person and takes guests on a journey from North Island to South.

APT recently launched its Europe pre-release brochure for 2017 which includes exciting itineraries such as the 15-day Magnificent Europe” luxury river cruise from Amsterdam to Budapest from just $6,395 – agents can also add in Economy class flights to Europe ex Australia with Singapore Airlines for just an extra $795 per person (or fly Business class for just $3,995).
