PONANT’s luxury small expedition ship Le Lapérouse sailed back into Sydney Harbour last night after more than three years away and ahead of her 2023 season cruising to Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and Indonesia.
Earlier this year, PONANT’s Le Lapérouse was joined by sister small luxury expedition ship Le Soléal in May for a sold-out Kimberley 2022 season.
Le Lapérouse returned to Australia in April, following a 2-year pandemic stand-by in Noumea.
Her first itinerary will be a new eight-day expedition from Sydney to Hobart, setting sail today.

Le Lapérouse will also embark on an 11-day ‘Food, Wine and Yacht Race in Tasmania’ itinerary. Departing on 23 December, guests can enjoy the 2022 Sydney to Hobart yacht race finish line and New Year festivities.
PONANT’s Le Lapérouse is a modern, purpose-built, small expedition ship. She offers balcony or private deck accommodation plus world-class dining options, an open bar, spa and outdoor swimming pool.
The 2023 season has cruises throughout the year, culminating in the ‘Food, Wine and Yacht Race in Tasmania’ itinerary in January 2024.
