Carnival Splendor reveals shipshape dry dock renos with trade partners in Sydney

Fresh from her dry dock upgrades in Singapore, Carnival Splendor shared her new-look livery and latest onboard additions with 50 trade partners at a special reveal event and lunch in Sydney Harbour on 11 September 2024.

Carnival Cruise Line trade partners enjoyed an exclusive performance of Carnival Splendor’s latest production Dear Future Husband, which recently made its Australian debut following its introduction on Carnival Jubilee, along with a three-course lunch on board at Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse.

The trade partners, which included Flight Centre, Helloworld, I Love Cruising and Global Travel Group also embarked on guided tours of the ship’s new upgrades, including the new dining venue, Mad Sizzle, and a refurbished and expanded Masala Tiger restaurant.

Trade partners were also shown upgraded staterooms, fitness and wellness amenities, including Cloud 9 Spa, gym, pools and basketball court.

For families, the tour highlighted the fully refreshed mini-golf course and revamped Carnival WaterWorks and Splashy Cove as well as upgraded kids’ clubs with Camp Ocean and Club 02 boasting new video gaming areas.

Outside, guests could see the ship’s new hull design, featuring the Southern Cross motif  – a signature element of P&O Cruises Australia ships now joining the Carnival fleet.

From March 2025, Australian-based Carnival Splendor and Carnival Luminosa will be joined by two additional sister ships when P&O Cruises Australia’s Pacific Adventure and Pacific Encounter will be renamed Carnival Adventure and Carnival Encounter.
