Celebrity Solstice arrives in Sydney on Back to the Future day

Celebrity Solstice has very little to do with the actual movie, except that her return to Sydney falls on the same day as the arrival of Marty, the Doc and Jennifer.

Celebrity Solstice has very little to do with the actual movie, except that her return to Sydney falls on the same day as the arrival of Marty, the Doc and Jennifer.

That’s right, the 3,000 passenger vessel sailed into the Harbour this morning – the same day the three pop-culture characters arrived in ‘the future’ during Back to the Future II.

It’s the ship’s fourth consecutive season cruising from Australia, during which she will sail from Sydney over the next four-to-five months on itineraries across the Tasman, to the South Pacific and around Australia.

She’s one of two Celebrity ships to cruise from our shores this peak period and will be joined by Celebrity Millennium later this year.

Onboard, Solstice features Celebrity’s unique ‘Lawn Club’ – a patch of grass on the top deck where guests can hold picnics or pretend they’re still on land.

There’s also the floor-to-ceiling wine tower holding 2,800 bottles of wine and around 85 percent of cabins have their own private balcony – the highest ratio of any cruise ship in Australia.

Other aspect of the ship your clients will love include the spa treatments at the Canyon Ranch SpaClub, stylish bars and ten various dining choices such as the Tuscan Grille, Murano Restaurant, Silk Harvest Restaurant and the Grand Epernay Dining Room.

She’s Australia’s Best Cruise Ship. Celebrity Solstice returns to Australia soon!

“We believe it’s the little things that make a big difference to your cruising holiday experience.”

Adam Armstrong, Celebrity Cruises Australasia Commercial Director

“With Celebrity Cruises, the suites are roomier, the champagne is finer, and the grass really is greener.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome Celebrity Solstice back down under.”

During her visit she will offer a number of South Pacific cruises ranging from eight to 12 nights.
