Star power! CLIA Australasia reveals actor Luke Jacobz as host of 22nd CLIA Awards 

Australian TV personality Luke Jacobz has been announced as the host of the 22nd annual Cruise Industry Awards (aka CLIAs), set to take place on 8 March.

Australian TV personality Luke Jacobz has been announced as the host of the 22nd annual Cruise Industry Awards (aka CLIAs), set to take place on 8 March.

As MC, Jacobz, known for his roles in Home and Away, McLeod’s Daughters, The X Factor, Dancing with the Stars and Sydney Weekender, will lead the night’s celebrations.

The sold-out event, presented by Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), will welcome 500 guests to honour the standout achievers in the Australasian cruise industry.

With 75 finalists from across Australia and New Zealand, the night will feature 15 award categories, including Agency of the Year, Cruise Consultant of the Year, Home-Based Cruise Agent/Broker of the Year, Rising Star, Cruise Champion and Promotion of the Year. 

CLIA Managing Director in Australasia Joel Katz says the Aussie star is the perfect fit for the role.

“This year’s awards night will celebrate the achievements of our travel agent members with an energy and showmanship to rival our cruise line entertainers,” he remarked. 

“Luke Jacobz is a brilliant fit for a night that promises to reflect the same excitement we create for our guests at sea.”

The CLIA awards received 800 nominations this year, reflecting the cruise industry’s strong and growing recognition of top-performing travel trade partners.
