Australia’s largest full-time cruise ship Crown Princess made a grand entrance into Sydney Harbour on 26 October 2024, accompanied by Love Boat-themed waterskiers to start her inaugural season after a repositioning cruise from North America.
Crown Princess will sail year-round from Australia, homeporting in Sydney and making 78 visits to 21 ports nationwide.
In addition, Crown Princess will set sail on the biggest world cruise ever with a 113-night global circumnavigation, departing in May 2025.

The 113,561-tonne Princess vessel contains more than 200 suites and mini-suites, carrying a maximum of 3,090 guests and making it the biggest cruise ship for size and passenger capacity in Australia.
Almost 900 staterooms feature private balconies – more than any other ship ever based Down Under.
The ship also offers a variety of dining options, Broadway-style production shows and first-run movies on the Movies Under The Stars poolside jumbo screen as well as four swimming pools and the Lotus Spa.

Guests on board the Princess ship had front-row seats to the spectacular water show across from the Sydney Opera House to celebrate her landmark homeport season.
Crown Princess Captain Christopher Lye said: “We couldn’t feel more at home in our new and beautiful homeport of Sydney. It’s a place that is very special to me and many of the ship’s guests and crew. We’re excited to be here and introduce Aussie guests to our magnificent Love Boat.”
Princess Cruises Chief Commercial Officer Terry Thornton added: “Her deployment is a major milestone, which reflects Australians’ enduring love of cruising and loyalty to Princess in Australia.”
