Crystal is bringing the lights of Broadway to sea with a nine-day themed voyage in October 2025, combining autumn colours, New England charm, and exclusive insider access to a new musical in development.
Departing New York (Bayonne) on 31 October 2025, Crystal Serenity will call at Newport, Provincetown, Boston, Portland, and Saint John, and New Brunswick on its 9-day voyage, before returning on 8 November.
The cruise forms part of the line’s celebrated ‘Crystal on Broadway’ series, designed to immerse guests in world-class theatre both on stage and behind the scenes.
The line-up is headlined by Kevin McCollum, Tony Award-winning producer of Rent, Avenue Q and In the Heights, alongside Sierra Boggess, whose acclaimed Broadway roles span The Phantom of the Opera, The Little Mermaid, and School of Rock.
Also onboard are the creative team behind Ever After The Musical: lyricist Marcy Heisler, composer Zina Goldrich, and director/choreographer Marlo Hunter, named one of Broadway Women’s Fund’s Women to Watch. Their involvement offers guests unique access to a project still in its creative development phase.
What experiences can guests expect?

Performances include a cabaret-style concert by Sierra Boggess, accompanied by the ship’s showband, and a New York–style piano-and-vocal evening with Heisler and Goldrich.
A centrepiece of the programming is a workshop of Ever After The Musical, based on the 1998 film that reimagines the Cinderella story with a message of independence and empowerment. Guests will not only hear songs from the show performed live but also join a Q&A session with the creative team to learn how Broadway musicals evolve before reaching the stage.
Keith Cox, Vice President of Entertainment at Crystal, says the series “brings the magic of Broadway directly to our guests,” highlighting the combination of “world-class performances” and “exclusive insight” as a key differentiator for the brand.

For advisors, this sailing represents a talking point beyond traditional cruise inclusions. Selling points include rare creative access to a Broadway musical in development, the chance for clients to enjoy unforgettable intimate performances with celebrated artists, and a unique seasonal itinerary showcasing New England’s autumn colours.
The Broadway announcement builds on a year of momentum for Crystal, which has expanded its culinary and entertainment offering with innovations including the only Beefbar at sea, Le Casino de Monte-Carlo, and new menus from Italy’s Alajmo brothers at Osteria d’Ovidio.
The brand also maintained its nearly 30-year streak as the top midsize ocean cruise line in Travel + Leisure’s 2025 World’s Best Awards.
